The Yuzi Ultralight YZ15 is the entry point to the Yuzi hiking backpack line: about 450 g (15.9 oz), with every basic feature needed for a day trip. It is made for first-time hikers who are not ready to invest heavily in gear.
The pack keeps what matters and skips complicated extras. At 450 g it adds almost nothing to the total load, so new hikers do not tire from the backpack itself before the trail does its work.
Despite its entry-level price, it has a sternum strap and hip belt like a technical pack. The sternum strap keeps the pack steady and reduces shifting on rough ground. The hip belt moves weight from the shoulders to the hips, and elastic keepers hold the loose strap ends so they do not catch while walking. Storage is split into four areas: a 15-liter main compartment, a small top pocket, two side pockets for a map and snacks, and a hydration sleeve with a hose clip.
The main fabric is PU-coated tear-resistant polyester. Its ripstop weave stops tears from spreading when the pack snags on branches or rock, and it dries quickly, so it holds up to several days outdoors in a row without staying damp. YKK® pulls with water-resistant zippers, soft breathable foam shoulder straps and a mesh back pad complete the build. For the longest life, carry 2–4 kg (4.4–8.8 lb), up to a maximum of 6 kg (13.2 lb).

It fits a 14-inch laptop but has no dedicated laptop sleeve, so the laptop shares the main compartment. For a separate laptop compartment, choose the Yuzi Daypack Modern YZ12 Pro.

Should I choose the standard or the Pro version?
The Pro upgrades the fabric to Diamond Ripstop 150D with water-resistant YKK® zippers, and adds a front pocket and a soft back panel that hugs the body. For frequent hikes or rainy trips, the Pro is the better pick.
