The Yuzi AirFlex YZ12 12L hiking daypack weighs 550 g (19.4 oz) and is made for day hikes and cycling — times when a full day's kit is needed without extra weight on the back.
Its standout feature is a three-point trekking pole system: a front attachment stows the poles when they are not in use, while holders on the shoulder strap and at the base let them come out quickly on the move. Poles can be stowed to free both hands for a rocky scramble, then grabbed again without taking the pack off.
The AirFlex back panel is structured, so the pack stands upright and does not collapse when lightly loaded — unlike the Ultralight YZ15 Pro, whose soft back panel hugs the body. The harness uses Multi-Density EVA foam with 3D mesh: multi-density EVA adds spring in the load-bearing areas, and the 3D mesh leaves space for air to flow. A sternum strap and hip belt work together to keep the pack close to the body and limit sway on climbs or on the bike.
Fabrics are zoned by function: the body uses lightweight Polyester Diamond Ripstop 150D, the base switches to thicker Polyester 420D to resist abrasion on rock, and the 210D lining is easy to clean. How does the AirFlex YZ12 differ from the Daypack Modern YZ12 Pro?
Both hold 12 L and share the YZ12 code, so they are easy to mix up. The AirFlex YZ12 is a hiking pack with a hip belt, sternum strap and trekking pole holders. The Daypack Modern YZ12 Pro is a work laptop backpack with a velvet-lined laptop compartment.
How does the three-point pole holder work?
The front attachment secures the poles when they are not in use. The holders on the shoulder strap and at the base let the poles come out on the move without taking the pack off.
How much weight can it carry?
The recommended load is 6 kg (13.2 lb), enough for a day hike or a long bike ride.
Is it water-resistant?
PU-coated polyester ripstop works together with water-resistant YKK® zippers. In light rain or splashes, water beads off instead of soaking in right away. It is not waterproof and should not be submerged.
